Boxing 101 – 3 BEST WAYS to Wrap Your Hands For Boxing – (in just 7 Minutes)

Every time you get in the ring to box or go to the gym to train, you have to wrap your hands to protect them. Without handwraps you can injure your hands, whether training on the heavy bag, hitting pad work or boxing against an opponent. Hand wraps protect the small bones in the hand from breaking, keep the skin on the knuckles from tearing and help prevent you from spraining your wrists when delivering a solid punch. Boxing 101.1 – Learn How to Jab Correctly (in just 5 minutes!)

The Jab is probably the most important punch in boxing. It sets up many attacks from the outside. It can also be used defensively to keep an advancing opponent at bay or to exit safely after a combination. Check out the below video to learn how to throw your Jab correctly. We break it down between the punch itself and the footwork involved in delivering it.

The Right Cross or Left Cross (Southpaw) is your power punch from your strongest side/hand. It works well after a Jab or sometimes a starting punch as its a longer range punch than a hook.
